Southport Financial Services is a privately held national real estate and development firm specializing in affordable housing. SPF has built, acquired, and developed projects consisting of a portfolio with more than 19,000 units in 200 properties in 21 states. Their Tampa based office who overseas development in the southeast seeks an Portfolio Assistant within its Florida/Georgia portfolio to:

• Assist with property operations including budgets, business plans and financial reporting
• Review monthly property management/financial reports and identify operations and financial issues and address these issues accordingly
• Assist with conducting annual real estate tax, service contract and utility analysis
• Assist in site routine property inspections, including tracking delinquencies, revenues, compliance with HUD, Florida Housing Finance Corporation, Fannie Mac, Freddie Mac and other regulatory agencies
• Assist in tracking all inspections, servicer inspections, finding responses, code violations, etc
• Assist in lender and investor reporting
• Assist and help in design and document asset management processes and procedures

Qualifications

• 3-4 years as a Regional Manager for a multifamily management company overseeing properties that range from 50 to 400 units
• Experience with Florida Housing Finance Corporation and HUD
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task and manage conflicting deadlines in a fast-paced environment is critical to success; time management skills essential
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, analytical, writing and organizational skills
• Must be self-motivated, resourceful and proactive, both with respect to managing workload and professional development
• Strong MS office (especially Excel) required and experience with Yardi and RealPage

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
