Apex Spine & Orthopaedics is a Comprehensive Spine and Orthopedics Care provider in NC. Our locations in North Carolina include Charlotte, Rock Hill, and Raleigh. We will be opening a High Point, NC location in November 2022 and seek an experienced PM&R physician.

We are growing and seeking an experienced Physician who specializes in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation to join our team.

The role of the Physical Medicine and Rehab Physician is to diagnose and treat disorders requiring modalities to include injection therapy to provide physical, mental, and occupational rehabilitation. They will also document examination results, treatment plans, and patients’ outcomes.

Physician Duties

• Examine patients to assess mobility, strength, communication, or cognition.
• Assess characteristics of patients’ pain such as intensity, location, or duration using standardized clinical measures.
• Provide outpatient medical management of Musculoskeletal Trauma and both acute and chronic pain. Monitor the effectiveness of pain management interventions such as medication or spinal injections.
• Coordinate physical medicine and rehabilitation services with other medical Providers.

Physician Requirements

• Experience providing primary care and diagnostic services in a clinical setting.
• Experience prescribing appropriate medications, treatments, and health regimens to treat patient health issues.
• Training in medical school specific to the administration and management of Epidural Injections.
• Experience working in a team of healthcare professionals and collaborating with them to ensure positive, effective patient experiences with our organization.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• We are looking for a candidate with at least 3-5 years of experience in a Primary Care Physician role outside of their residency and who has the following certifications:
• MD or DO degree from an accredited United States medical school.
• Successful completion of residency at an accredited healthcare institution.
• Board certification in PM&R or related field from said residency.
• Current State Medical Practitioner License.
• Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and Department of Public Safety (DPS) registration, for prescription writing.
