Order Processing Specialist Job at Eaton
Eaton is currently seeking an Order Processing Specialist to join our team. This position is based out of our Waukesha, WI location or Remote.
Position Overview:
- The primary function of the Order Processing Specialist is to be a skilled technical communicator who manages order cleansing and engineering order packet creation.
In this function you will:
- Perform detailed comparisons of multiple quotes and purchase orders on a daily basis:
- Terms and Conditions
- Customer requirements for test witness and/or inspections
- Quantities
- Specification References
- Pricing
- Lead-times
- Special Requirements
- Collaborate with Product Specialists, Proposal Analysts, Inside Sales Representatives, Rep Agencies, and Sales Engineers to resolve order discrepancies.
- Create engineering packets for all orders:
- Use customized software to convert quotations to order
- Create engineering packets that include all pertinent documentation required for the proper design and production of all transformers
- Communicate special requirements
- Process customer change orders against open sales orders using the Change/Hold/Cancellation process
- Provide quotation program input and feedback to the system development (IT) team. Work to ensure quoting tools and systems are accurate and current.
- Have understanding and familiarity with applicable industry standards i.e. ANSI, IEEE, CSA, and NEMA for transformers.
- Maintain a team atmosphere to ensure that all workload for the proposals team is completed per customer-required deadlines.
- Acts as an information conduit between engineering, marketing, scheduling, and customers.
- Collects and analyzes data for metrics and process tracking.
- Understand and utilize lean tools and concepts to drive continuous improvement.
- Participate in the creation and maintenance of ISO work instructions.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- Associate degree from an accredited institution.
- Ability to work in the United States on an ongoing basis without company sponsorship.
- Minimum of 3 years of product, customer service, inside sales, or proposals experience in a technical field
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical degree
- Minimum of 5 years of product, customer service, inside sales, or proposals experience in a technical field
- Minimum of 1 year of experience using ERP and quotation systems
Position Criteria
- Excellent oral, interpersonal, and written skills with the ability to effectively communicate
- Detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work to deadlines with a high degree of accuracy
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SAP, or other ERP-related system and the ability to utilize such tools to analyze data and solve routine problems.
Eaton provides a competitive total rewards package commensurate with applicable skills, knowledge, and experience and consistent with internal and external market practices. The annual salary range for this role is $48,000 - $66,000 a year.
