Our innovative and growing team is looking for a dedicated occupational health nurse to ensure the health and safety of our workforce. The program complies with Bristol Myers Squibb Corporate Policies and Directives as well as federal and state occupational health and safety regulations and laws.
Job Description
The Occupational Health Nurse is responsible for providing services for a comprehensive occupational health program for the Bristol Myers Squibb Lawrenceville, Nassau Park & Roszel Road sites. The registered nurse will participate in a team of health professionals that provides clinical case management, and administration of health services for a pharmaceutical Research & Development site.
Responsibilities
Maintain compliance with all local state and federal occupational health and safety policies/standards.
Monitoring employee health and wellness
Meeting health and safety standards to reduce work-related injuries
Provide clinical nursing services to employees. This includes triage, examination, diagnosis and treatment where appropriate.
Provide health surveillance testing, including EKG, audiometry, vison, spirometry, and phlebotomy.
Educating the workforce about the requirements to minimize work injury risks.
Work with BMS disability and worker’s compensation insurance providers to provide case management services for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses and short and long-term disability claims.
Participate in the development of company-wide and site-based health and wellness programs.
Actively use existing Health and Fitness electronic health record.
Job Requirements:
Must be a Registered Nurse (RN), NJ licensed required
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Case Management experience preferred, direct care
Occupational Health Certified candidate preferred
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Good interpersonal skills
Computer skill proficiency
