EnSafe is currently accepting applications for a mid-level (3-7 years) Environmental Engineer with experience in the environmental consulting field for our San Diego or Long Beach office.

The successful candidate will work on projects ranging from site investigations to regulatory compliance tasks, feasibility studies, and remedial design and/or implementation. You will work in an environment that fosters creativity, collaboration at all levels, a culture of support, and professional growth. Communication, written and verbal, is critical to success. Overnight travel will be required.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare Work Plans
• Conduct site investigation activities (soil, groundwater, indoor air (VI), soil gas, groundwater, and stormwater sampling)
• Perform remedial evaluation, O&M of remedial systems, and troubleshooting
• Provide environmental compliance support to senior regulatory specialists, including data collection for permitting and/or registration, data analysis, regulatory compliance evaluation and assessment.
• Assist in writing technical reports
• Field documentation and preparation of reports

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, environmental science, or related discipline
• Preferred, EIT, PE, and/or the ability to obtain a PE license in CA
• HAZWOPER training and certification
• Experience with RCRA and CERCLA processes (RI/FS, RD/RA, ROD) and documentation
• Prior environmental investigation and remediation experience preferred
• Understanding of Federal facility policies, procedures, and regulations
• Proficiency in Microsoft program products
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Strong work ethic
