Medical Technologist, Generalist Job Description:

• Medical Technologist, Generalist is a permanent position
• Under the direction of the laboratory manager, perform laboratory tests, quality control procedures and communication with physicians, nurses, and patients
• Tremendous culture in the hospital
• Opportunities available in several different departments within the lab, including blood bank, hematology, etc.

Medical Technologist, Generalist Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Medical Technology or a related filed required.
• Must be board eligible by NCA, AMT, ASCP, or or other certifying entity
• Medical Technologist, Generalist must have one to three years of experience in chemistry, blood bank, hematology and microbiology or formal student internship
• Certification at MT by American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or CLS by National Accrediting Agency (NCA)
• Must be capable of working independently and providing direction to Medical Laboratory Assistants.
