• Scheduling patients for consultation with SCOI physicians in all office locations:
• Interview and gather imperative information from patients/ insurance carrier/ VIP’s to provide best physician options and appointment availability for the injury/condition:
• Injury
• Condition
• Insurance
• Diagnostic testing
• Location
• Registration of patient demographics
• Creating worker’s compensation cases
• Creation of cases for private authorization or referrals
• Registration of Adjuster/ Nurse Case Managers.
• Private and Worker’s Compensation Insurance comprehension to distinguish an industrial related injury from a non-industrial related injury.
• Follows specific Physician protocols for scheduling appointments for:
• New Private Patients
• New Work Comp patients
• New IPA/ HMO
• QME, Panel QME, AME, IME, AOE-COE
• Med/Legals
• Follow up visits
• Limited post op’s
• Some injections
• Scheduling appointments directly with insurance carriers
• Only specifically assigned agents to manage the CCWC:
• Obtaining authorization
• Obtaining medical records
• Obtaining diagnostic testing
• Job descriptions
• Comprehension of Insurance Matrix & keeping up to date of the ever changing of Physician/ Payer contracts
• Interacts with Adjuster, Nurse Case Managers, Defense Attorney regarding workers compensation needs
• E-mailing of same/next day add on’s
• Faxing worker’s compensation statuses daily with in 24hrs from DOS.

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities

Scheduling Appointments (All based on specific Doctors protocols and procedures):

New W/C & Private appointments

Faxing Work Comp statuses for assigned Dr.(s)

Agent assigned to one week for retrieval Appointment V/M’s done daily & throughout day

Follow up calls (daily) for Accounts w/ Insurance Pending

Other duties as needed/assigned.
