Hiring consultant marketing director, e commerce expert and social media manager for a START-UP art gallery and art import company. THE CANDIDATE MUST BE ABLE TO WRITE clearly, concisely, convincingly for social media posts, press releases and other circumstances.
Candidate must be familiar with:
- outbound marketing, both digital (social media) AND traditional (such as print)
- inbound marketing (such as Facebook and Instagram advertising).
The marketing director will create social media campaigns, email marketing campaigns for the gallery and for gallery exhibitions. Please have extensive experience creating advertising and promotional copy and extensive experience in creating visual media to communicate attractive and engaging messaging.
The marketing manager will also manage current clientele and source new clientele. Part of this work will involve creating and maintaining a database of existing customers and to utilize this database for marketing purposes.
Please have experience with data analytics in order to identify target customer audiences and design marketing strategies to reach these audiences.
Please have an EXPERT understanding of e commerce platforms like Etsy and Instagram Stores.

The candidate should be a marketing specialist with special emphasis upon digital marketing. The marketing manager will be responsible for enhancing our start-up gallery through various social media platforms and through traditional marketing channels, including paid advertising and email marketing.
The successful candidate will develop both traditional and online marketing campaigns and implement these. This means that the candidate will be responsible for, amongst other things, increasing public awareness of the gallery via traditional channels like print media, writing press releases, creating digital marketing campaigns within budget and creating social media content that is designed to engage users and create an interactive relationship between potential and actual customers and the gallery. Key to this work is an ability to WRITE clearly, succinctly and in an engaging way.
The marketing manager will be responsible for identifying and contacting relevant media outlets, print and digital, in order to develop marketing and promotional opportunities for the gallery.
Duties are various: brand development through online channels, photography (and photo editing) of items for sale and for creation of advertising and marketing materials, posting on various social media channels, writing product descriptions. The marketing director will be responsible for understanding how the gallery maintins a presence within certain e commerce platofrms like Etsy and Instagram Stores. Beyond that the marketing manager will be responsible for creating and managing two Instagram Stores linked to the gallery.
Familiarity with product photography is esssential. Fluency with PhotoShop and other photo editing software is necessary. Also, the manager must be competent with video editing software.
The marketing director will have a creative role in developing exhibition themes and organization exhibition, therefore, successful candidates must have prior event organization experience.
This can be a remote position but personal interaction with the gallery owner and visits to the gallery location will be necessary. We anticipate one in person visit a week for around 2 hours. Our location is near downtown Dallas.
Must have own transportation.
MUST BE LOCAL to the DFW area and helpful if candidate lives near the Downtown Dallas area.
The consultant will report directly to the owner of the gallery.
