Opportunity Overview :
Maintain a safe and secure environment by assisting in the development and implementation of the firm's security plan, to include:
- Development, leadership, management, and fulfillment of area associates. Actively participates in self-development.
- Lead the branch security program; conduct investigations, document reported crimes & incidents, provide consulting services to protect the branch and home offices, recover assets and act as liaison with local, state and federal law enforcement.
- Act as Global Security Services representative to the firm's Workplace Violence Risk Assessment & Mitigation team; develop risk reduction strategies and actively lead emergency responses to incidents.
- Provide expertise in security related matters at all levels of the firm.
- Expense management, including; contracted services and capital expenditures.
- Oversight of vendor contract relationships; development of standards, objectives and performance measurement.
- Preparation of dashboards and reports for trending and analysis of data to keep the organization formed, improve performance and ensure efficient use of resources.
- Authorized to carry a handgun to safeguard persons on Edward Jones premises from workplace violence.
Position Requirements :
- BS/BA degree in Criminal Justice or a related field, certification or advanced degree preferred
- 3 years of supervisory experience preferred
- 10 years of law enforcement experience to include investigative experience in a law enforcement organization with increasing levels of responsibility
- Valid Security Officer License, or equivalent as determined by applicable law and be authorized to carry a concealed firearm
- Valid driver's license
