Machine Operators and Assistants Job at Sofidel

We are currently looking for a
Machine Operators and Assistants
for our
Green Bay, WI facility.
- Starting Pay is $21.75+(based on experience) per hour
- 80 Hours of Paid Time Off at 90 days

This position does follow a 12 hour 2-2-3 shift that swings from days to nights every 2 weeks.
SCOPE:
The Machine Operator Assistant works closely with with the Machine Operator to:
- Support Sofidel America’s Good Manufacturing Practices and HACCP to promote a safe, sanitary and hygienically sound workplace.
- Understand and apply customer specifications to the operation of the machine to ensure finished goods comply with customer requirements.
- Program and monitor computerized operating panel. Calculate and determine proper core size, roll diameters, required footage and perforation.
- Initiate set up, operations, and adjustments of the rewinder and all down-stream equipment to achieve established production quota.
- Program log saw and clamp product in log saw. Determine and verify cut accuracy and adjust as needed.
- Perform hourly quality checks to ensure accuracy of production run and the submittal of daily quality reports to QA department.
- Monitors and performs product changeovers in conjunction with the Rapid Changeover Technicians (RCO Techs).
- Adjust embossing unit and change core chuck as needed.
- Ensure regular and open communications with quality, maintenance and supervision.
- Demonstrate leadership skills on regular, consistent basis.
- Work the 12-hour rotating shift requirement.
- Keep work area clean and organized while following the lean initiatives.
