Position Overview:

The Loan Service Officer's primary responsibility is to assist members with all consumer loan requests, which include personal loans, credit cards, and collateral loans such as autos, motorcycles, RVs, and boats. Recommend other Credit Union services, such as GAP, MBP, CL&D, etc., appropriate to meet lending needs. While the main functions of the position are conducted over electronic messaging and the telephone, candidate must be able to serve the member equally well in person. Secondary responsibilities will be to support the E-Branch Representatives by assisting members with new accounts, account changes, mobile deposits, and responding to messages through SWACU’s website, email services and Home Banking. Other responsibilities may include covering the Dallas Lobby or Call Center in times of staffing shortages. This individual must demonstrate a strong commitment toward giving quality member service, both internal and external, while achieving and supporting department and individual goals, as well as overall SWACU goals. Qualifications:

  • Great attitude and enthusiasm!
  • Have a comprehensive knowledge of using a computer, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams
  • Clear written and verbal communication while maintaining professional, courteous, and friendly service to our members and co-workers
  • Interpersonal skills to effectively suggest new products and services to our members
  • Ability to multi-task and maintain organization and efficiency in a fast-paced environment
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • One to three years of cash handling experience, with a history of good balancing
  • One to three years of service experience, preferably in a Financial Institution
  • All qualified candidates must pass a credit and background check

Schedule:

8:30-5:00 pm M-F. This is an in-office position

Salary:

$21.00 per hour and incentive pay
