JOB SUMMARY

AerCap Materials, Inc. has an immediate opening for an Asset Valuation Analyst, reporting directly to the Asset Valuation & Pricing Lead. This position will facilitate the valuation and bid creation processes for proposed acquisitions and speculative bids of aircraft and/or inventory for AerCap. This role will conduct analysis of forecasts for existing and future consigned and owned inventory, potential impairments, customer package RFQs as well as special projects as they arise.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Establish aircraft values for internal and external aircraft opportunities that are provided by Acquisitions
  • Collaborate with the AerCap Materials Acquisitions, Sales and Operations to perform accurate aircraft valuations
  • Analyze and report out on asset performance (forecast to actual)
  • Perform analysis to identify assets needing additional commercial focus
  • Conduct asset impairment review in support of quarterly impairment process
  • Review assets to monetize slow moving inventory
  • Manage customer package requests including in-depth analysis of requirements, pricing for both existing and sourced inventory, identifying alternate sources of supply (A/C not in teardown cycle, tearing down of components, etc.) as well as coordinating with commercial team on final submission
  • Identify and provide aircraft inspection checklist and coordinate with the Quality, Technical Records and Acquisitions team during the inspection process. Will also be responsible for comparing inspected parts to forecasted parts.
  • Create and manage aircraft tail models for incoming aircraft.
  • Engage with Operation team on off-site dismantlement’s and assist where needed to assure proper assets are removed
  • Review and approve (within established limits) aircraft scrap requests and POs impairment status; Escalate as needed
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS, QUALIFICATIONS, & COMPETENCIES
Education/Experience

  • Minimum 3-5 years of commercial aviation industry in a commercial or pricing role
  • Experience handling multiple projects with competing priorities
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment
  • Experience leading projects and executing decisions
  • Strong analytical ability
  • Strong PC skills required including Excel ability to utilize XLook-up, Vlookup, Pivot table, IF statements, etc.

Additional Competencies

  • Experience in aircraft parts trading industry, preferably in a sourcing, pricing or customer facing role
  • Strong oral and written communications; Strong interpersonal skills including ability to collaborate with peers while managing competing priorities
  • Ability to interface effectively with all levels within the company
  • Airbus and Boeing IPC knowledge
