Lead Infant/Toddler Teacher
Job Summary

The Learning Experience is a Preschool/Academy of Early Childhood Education, located in Oceanside.

Our program provides an environment that is safe, nurturing and developmentally appropriate for children ages 6 weeks to 6 years olds. Our classrooms are purposely planned to encourage curiosity and exploration, build problem-solving skills, foster individual decision-making, and grow independence.

We are looking for highly motivated teachers for:

• infants (6 weeks to 12 months)
• toddlers (12 months to 24 months)
• Twaddlers (24 to 36 Months)

Applicants must have a warm and supportive attitude and disposition toward working with children and their families. They must be reliable, and have excellent organization, oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

- Implement the school’s age-appropriate curriculum

- Lesson planning for monthly themes

- Create a positive, safe and inviting learning environment for infants

- Monitor and record babies’ progress and development

- Build good and open communication with babies, parents and staff

- Ensure the learning environment is safe, clean, and hygienic

You will need:

- 12 core semester units in Early Childhood Education/Development

- 3 units related to infant care

- 6 months experience in a licensed child-care center or child-care program with children under the age of 5
