IT Project Leader – Analytics

Clinical Shared Services is seeking an IT Project Leader to join our team. The incumbent will provide technical and project management services for the full implementation life cycle, maintenance, and user support of information systems that support NYP’s clinical, corporate and technical operations across all hospital campuses and regional facilities. The role will be a part of a group of thoughtful and diverse quality analytics professionals who work closely with our larger clinical and operational team stakeholders and support their efforts

Essential Job Duties

  • Develops and maintains project plans, schedules and priorities to ensure timely delivery of information technology solutions.
  • Organizes project teams, sets project priorities, and maintains scope documents.
  • Provides overall direction and guidance, coordinates schedules and related project activities to ensure the work and documentation meet appropriate departments/service line standards.
  • Establishes and maintains communication with project team, users, committees/work groups, vendors and management.
  • Keeps management and department apprised of project progress, milestones and issue resolution.
  • Participates in strategic planning and development meetings.
  • Develops innovative approaches for dealing with customer needs that are also aligned with overall goals and objectives.
  • Provides day-to-day assistance/support to user community across the Hospital, including extracting and transmitting requested data and problem solving in a timely manner.
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Preferred Criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field (or at least three years of equivalent experience)
  • Working knowledge of Hospital workflow and business process
  • PMP Certification
  • Experience working in Quality and Patient Safety and/or Analytics for a large academic health system
  • Ability to identify and compare alternative solutions and approaches to problems


Required Criteria

  • Epic Cogito Certification
  • SQL Proficiency
  • Three to five years of previous work-related experience
  • Minimum of two years of Project Management experience
  • Ability to interact with various clinicians and physicians
  • System Design/Analysis
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, written and verbal communication skills
