WHO ARE YOU? You are a meticulous Inventory Assistant with a passion for helping colleagues in a support/ administrative role, organizing information and keeping projects on track. In this fast paced environment, you will be integral to making sure our incredible language learning print products reach our equally incredible customers.

WHAT IS THE ROLE ABOUT? A typical day will consist of anything from data management and ISBN entry to coordinating with our customer service and marketing teams, to creating purchase orders, reconciling invoices and supporting vendors. While this is not a warehouse position, you will collaborate with the manufacturing department and our offsite warehouse to coordinate deliveries and other related logistics.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

  • Contribute to a variety of team projects and administrative tasks related to our publishing business
  • Enter new items, data, and structures into MS Great Plains and Excel
  • Post inventory batches including adjustments and receipts
  • Create, process, and manage steady a stream of purchase orders in our PO system
  • Maintain accurate unit costs and details in database
  • Create reports, enter and manage data in Microsoft Excel ensuring accuracy
  • Coordinate and support vendors as well as internal stakeholders in marketing, customer support and manufacturing
  • Assist team in other areas, as needed

YOU MUST HAVE (MINIMUM REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE)

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 2+ years of experience in an administrative or data-entry heavy role where attention to detail and accuracy were critical to your success
  • Advanced Excel skills to include use of VLookUps, Pivot Tables, and Conditional Formulas

IDEAL IF YOU HAVE or ARE (PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE)

  • Prior experience using a CRM or ERP system, especially Great Plains
  • A strong strategic thinker that effectively pivots between initiatives and related projects
  • Strong project management skills; agile, flexible, organized with excellent attention to detail and keeping things on track
  • Results oriented and highly organized with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Previous experience with vendor relations and vendor management

LOCATION

In-Office: This role requires in-office work time during the week at our Boston, MA location. Candidates must reside within the United States and be willing to meet this requirement in order to be considered. Relocation assistance is not available at this time.
