Information Technology Specialist position entails a wide variety of tasks, projects, and support to maintain a fully operational campus from a technological standpoint. Areas of technology include; installation and network configuration, maintaining and troubleshooting system hardware, provide user support campus-wide.

Duties/ Responsibilities:

Maintain and troubleshoot client computing devices

• Provide client hardware support for all devices such as desktops, laptops and tablets.

• Provide client software support and troubleshooting, Google applications, Microsoft applications, communication software, Aviation and Educational software used.

Maintaining the Technology Infrastructure includes

• Maintaining Company Wide Network, working with Routers, firewalls, switches and wireless access points. (Unifi/ Ubiquiti Devices)

• Active Directory: Microsoft Azure, Managing user accounts

• Email System: Google Workspace Administrator, Managing user accounts

• IP Phone System: Ring Central, Managing Phones/Users/Extensions etc.

• TV Data Terminals, Kiosk Displays are working properly

• Maintain and troubleshoot ATD Flight Simulators on site or remotely

• High Volume Copy Machines/ Printers

• Monitor and repair flight simulators

• Help Desk

• Other Tasks and duties as required by management

Systems/Platforms:

• Windows 10

• Windows XP, 7 (Used on older Flight Simulators)

• Linux distributions, mainly for setting up Kiosk/Digital Display systems

• Google Drive suite

• Microsoft Office 2007 - 2019

• Microsoft Azure, mainly used for cloud based Active Directory

• Support Ticketing Systems (Jira Service Management)

• IP Phone Systems, (Ring Central)

• Cloud Based Storage Systems (Google Workspace)

• Flight Simulator Software (Frasca International/ X Plane 9)

Education and Experience:

• 1-2 years of experience working in Information Technology, Tech Related Field

• High School Diploma

• Technical Computer Skills, Hardware and Operating System side

• Knowledge of Networking technologies

• Ability to create training materials and documentation

• Technical writing skills

• Experience Cloud Storage systems

• Some level of education involving Aviation preferred, but not required.
