General Description
The IT Assistant maintains, processes, and troubleshoots all Bando USA's computers, application systems, network, and operations and will support company IT projects and provide end-user support and training for standard applications. This job description is subject to change at the discretion of the company.
Essential Functions
- Deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Respond promptly to any production-related network and computer issues.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues.
- Create management reports using relational databases and SQL joining. Conducting data analysis with Excel/database systems.
- Comprehend Bando USA's IT, quality, and safety policies.
- Collaborate in continuous improvement and cost reduction efforts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation abilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to determine when an issue requires escalation.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, highly organized, and exceptional follow-up skills.
- Proficient in training others to use standard applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with relational databases, including SQL joining, and generating management reports.
- Knowledge of Windows Server system maintenance and troubleshooting, as well as user security administration.
- Network skills, including setup, configuration, security, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with ERP and EDI systems, with implementation, administration, and troubleshooting experience being a plus.
- Familiarity with programming skills being a plus.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of equivalent work experience in an IT-related field.
- Associate’s degree in computer science or equivalent education and experience.
Physical / Mental Requirements / Working Conditions
- General office hours with some off shift support as needed.
- Possible work during off shifts to support 24 / 7 manufacturing environment.
- Office and general factory environment, with some exposure to tooling equipment noise.
- Ability to walk, stand, turn, climb, kneel, bend and stoop, sit for extended periods, reach, lift, carry, push, talk, hear and see.
- Must be able to use hands, wrists, and fingers.
- Must be able to lift and move objects up to 30 LBS.
- Mental requirements include, but are not limited to, the ability to concentrate, take initiative, cope with stress, adapt to and stay alert in a business environment and use independent judgment to accomplish all duties and responsibilities.
General Qualifications
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Must be able to read and speak the English language well enough to communicate, respond to questions, and understand directions, traffic signs, signals, and training.
