We are Del Monte Foods – Growers of Good.THIS IS A 2ND SHIFT POSITIONThe Human Resources Supervisor position supervises the day-to-day operational function of the HR Department and assigned team members providing front and back-end support to the business as a human resources business partner. Ensures the tactical and strategic execution and delivery of various functions of the HR department including talent management, performance management, employee/labor relations, training & development, compensation, benefits, leave, ad hoc reporting and administration of company policies and procedures. Places emphasis on consistently reviewing and improving the HR department through process improvements, superior communication, opportunities to leverage current and/or emerging technologies, innovative solutions, internal customer experience and strategic value-added business partnership.Provide all employees prompt and efficient attention for all Human Resources inquiries. Thoroughly answers all employee inquiries and responds to all requests while employing an exceptional customer service demeanor.
Coach, train and develop operational leaders on topics relating to benefits, leaves, payroll, wage, compensation, WC & safety.
Hold assigned team members accountable for completing deliverables. Develop team members capabilities with a focus on improving quality and improving processes.
Assist in the development and be a champion for Employee Engagement/Recognition Activities throughout the location.
Direct supervision of HR Associate – Attendance/Paid Leave/Timekeeping/Leave. Responsibility for all Hourly Employee Leave Policies & Procedures
Supervision of FMLA/CFRA Eligibility, Certification, Leave Tracking. FMLA/CFRA Leave Exhaustion ensure proper Tracking/Correspondence.
Supervise Leave Accommodation Requests in line with established processes. Ensure Reasonable Accommodation logs are maintained to ensure historical records are maintained in fulfillment of regulatory obligations Ensure Employee interactive discussion process is properly documented and employee meetings are held.
Partner with Human Resources Senior Manager on all employee meetings related to employees’ potential RTW.
Ensure Tracking/Correspondence related to No Contact Terminations/Failure to Return to work upon recall.
Process and manage New Hire drug testing.
ACA Compliance/Health/Welfare Processing/Pension Processing
Supplemental Billing Process
JBT & DOE Hours Report
Track and weekly reporting on HR metrics such as absenteeism.
Support DMFI’s Pandemic Response program. Serve as the primary point-of-contact for COVID-19 questions and timely completion of contact tracing, employee tracking, supplemental pay, and quarantine and isolation policy inquiries. Track employees on leave due to COVID-19 related reasons and processing of COVID-19 payments in agreement with DMFI Policy and applicable California Executive Order.
Serves as primary point of contact for Health and Safety Manager as it relates to inquiries regarding work history and pay, to effectively manage Total Temporary Disability Payments obligations under workers’ compensation requirements andProvide Wage Information for WC and respond to unemployment compensation requestsUpdate Vacation Database with New Regulars
Prepare Final Payment for retirees/resignation employees
TARP Tracking
Process Union Disability Tracking
Prepare vacation and sabbatical accruals. Sabbaticals/Vacation Processing. Pension, H&W Insurance Reports. Assist employees with H&W issues unresolved by Del Monte Benefits Center or Delta Health Systems/Joint Benefit Trust Fund.
Penalty Pay/Retirees Benefits
Audits/Pensions/ Hourly EEs, Quarterly Audits.
Coordinate Audit Request responses related to 3rd Party Payments (Life Insurance, Pension, H&W). Respond to all Internal Audit requests related to 3rd Party Payments, Personnel Activities, and Systems Workflows.
Calculate/Pay/Process all Hourly Regular Employee Sick Leave, as per CBA.
Create Holiday Pay (Back-up)
Reviews and completes all EDD claims forms and Benefit Audits and State Disabilities Insurance Benefits claims. Assists with all phone calls from EDD/CA-SDI representatives regarding any employee and State Disability questions. Respond to inquiries as related to the monthly payments, including Seasonal Employees verifying 80-hour monthly requirement for Seasonal Coverage. Maintain historical archives related to monthly payments.
Calculate/Pay/Process all Hourly Employee Seasonal Sick Pay, as per CBA, Complete tracking seasonal
Update Terms/Retirements in Kaizen Training Manager
Enters, tracks and processes all 401K loans and stop deductions. Process all 401K new enrolls (annually) and changes (quarterly) in a timely manner.
