The NJ Division of Merola Tile employs approximately 100 people and distributes tile in the U.S. and Canada through The Home Depot, independently owned tile showrooms, and numerous e-commerce retailers under the Merola Tile, SomerTile, and Elite Tile brand names. Role and Responsibilities

  • Support leadership in maintaining staffing needs: posting job ads, screening applicants, scheduling interviews and communicating throughout the hiring process.
  • Attends and participates in job fairs and recruiting sessions
  • Coordinate new hire process: NJ new-hire reporting and paperwork, verify employment eligibility and order drug screen and background checks for applicants.
  • Assist in new employee 1st Day Orientation: giving tours, reviewing safety manuals and up-to-date orientation manuals. After 1st Day Orientation is given, have leader follow-up with employee training that is to be done throughout the employee’s 1st 90 days
  • Coordinate health and dental benefit enrollment process for all eligible employees, after full-time employee 60 day waiting period and during the annual open enrollment period, scheduling orientations, following up with employee about waiving/enrolling, inputting benefit into ADP
  • Ensure that Annual and 90-day employee performance reviews are scheduled, and that employees and management have the necessary paperwork to complete reviews.
  • Assist in process of terminations in our internal database
  • Update and maintain our internal databases with new employee information, including contact details and employment forms
  • Demonstrates a high level of professionalism in dealing with confidential and sensitive issues
  • Performs general clerical duties including but not limited to tracking surveys, compiling annual reports, filing, photocopying, faxing, and mailing
  • Ensure the company is in compliance with state and federal regulations

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Degree in related field preferred
  • 1-3 years of HR experience required
  • 1-3 years of recruiting experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel.)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
