Our client in Pleasant Valley, NY, is seeking a dynamic and tech savvy Human Resources Assistant to join their growing team.
Human Resources Assistant Qualifications:
- At least 6 months of experience in recruiting
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience in a role that utilizes the telephone as primary tool
- The successful candidate will spend approximately 6 hours a day speaking to candidates by phone
- Experience in candidate screening preferred
- Face-to-Face screening, telephone and or application/ resume screening will be considered
- Proficient in Word and Excel with the ability and flexibility to effectively adapt to new software systems
- Ability to type up to 50 wpm with accuracy
- Ability to work in dynamic, fast paced environment, and multi-task to ensure deadlines are achieved
- Excellent organizational skills with thorough follow up
- Must have evening availability for job fairs and interviews
Human Resources Assistant Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct brief phone screening conversations to identify candidates who meet minimum requirements
- Follow up with full phone and/or in person interviews of qualified candidates
- Seek out passive candidates through phone calls, emails, networking, Internet searches and social media
- Maintain accurate records on applicant status
- Provide timely responses to all applicants
- Other projects and tasks assigned by supervisor
This is an exciting full time, temporary (6 months) position with a pay rate of $20 per hour.
