The HR Manager, is a client facing role that provides HR and people management support, advice, and consultative services to business leaders, enabling them to make informed business decisions. This position will be responsible for partnering with clients in multiple manufacturing facilities including Portland, OR, Ontario, CA, and Honolulu, HI in the North America Operating Unit. The HR Manager will act as a key business partner to plant leadership. This role works collaboratively with leaders to prioritize strategic people priorities and solutions that accelerate the achievement of business plans through talent management, diversity and inclusion, rewards and recognition and organizational effectiveness.

Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities

  • Develop people and culture plans at the client level and execute key activities to support the group’s business objectives.

  • Provide people management coaching to managers and contribute to the development of managers' skills.

  • Act as steward for attracting, developing and retaining diverse talent in the organization.

  • Champion performance and talent management processes within customer groups.

  • Support HR Services delivery of people-related matters.

  • Partner with Centers of Expertise to deliver business required programs.

  • Drive implementation of function-wide HR programs with-in assigned locations.

  • Work with the leadership team on the implementation of new business initiatives and resulting people impacts and manage the change process.

  • Help local managers meet and exceed people objectives for their area or function.

  • Provide consultative support, advice and solutions on all people related subjects, in conjunction with Center of Excellence (COE) and HR Services.

  • Leverage the use of tools / knowledge / informational sources to identify business trends and ensure appropriate solutions are in place to support the business.

  • Support the HR Service Delivery model by working effectively with cross functional groups within the organization.

  • Facilitate and conduct training as required

  • Provide employee relations support as required

Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree Required

Related Work Experience:

5+ years of HR work experience, preferably as a HR generalist

Knowledge in a broad range of HR functional areas

Exceptional communication skills (written, verbal and listening)

Collaboration in a matrix environment

Base Salary: $120,300 to $146,200

Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, are offered.

Functional Skills:

Commercialization of people, culture and capability strategies and plans: Supports the implementation of the people plan and prioritized HR initiatives for a client group - primary focus is on communication, coaching people managers and associates, initiative execution, data reporting, analysis and insights.

Client account management and HR Service Delivery: Directly executes or coordinates across the HR model to deliver HR services. Responsively delivers on client's needs at a high quality level.

Organization Design and Capability Development: Support the implementation of operating model changes and organizational restructures. Focus is on people moves, transitions, compensation and systems data refresh, etc.

Talent Management: Supports in the preparation of materials and facilitation of people development forums. Ensures follow up from specific action items and supports the execution of people decisions (compensation, communications, onboarding, systems data refresh, etc.).

Coaching and guiding clients: Coaches and educates people managers and employees on HR policies, plans, programs, practices, processes, and tools to ensure knowledge transfer, enhanced people management capability and HR service delivery.
