Job Description Summary:
The Host/Cashier welcomes guests in a warm and friendly manner. Ascertains their dining/lodging needs. Seats guests and manage the seating chart. Monitor’s the dining room and patio activity to determine seating and dining flow. Responds to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner. Assist with various opening/closing tasks and side work as needed. Deliver on the promise of Sonesta Service in all interactions with guests and clients according to the Sonesta Standards.

Qualifications and skills:

• Must be available to work mornings, evening, weekends, and holidays.
• One plus years customer service experience in the hospitality industry preferred
• Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English is required, other languages beneficial
• Basic reading, writing, math and computer skills required
• Ability to promptly handle guest inquiries, complaints and all issues in a professional manner.
• Will be required to obtain a ServSafe certification.
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Physical requirements:

• Ability to be on your feet for entire shift; frequently standing up for 6 + hours, bending, climbing, kneeling and moving about the facility.
• Ability to carry, lift, and /or move up to 75 pounds.
