Salary: $1,635.22 - $1,667.93 (semi-monthly)
Salary may be commensurate of education and/or experience.
Job Location/Shift: This position is with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, Division of State Parks, and will be located at Missouri Mines State Historic Site at 4000 State HWY 32, Park Hills, MO 63601. Shift times and days off vary depending on the interpretative needs of the facility. Primary duty hours will be Wednesday – Sunday. The position does require 5, 8-hour days per week, with a ½ hour lunch break.

What you’ll do:
- Perform basic management duties related to the overall operation, maintenance, and visitor services
- Assist staff with projects, and work to oversee the work and behavior of various seasonal and volunteer staff
- Planning, coordinating, and implementing various programs for a wide range of audiences
- Participate in planning and directing natural or cultural history interpretation, living history programs, resource management, and research for Missouri Mines State Historic Site.
- Educate and enforce park/site rules and regulations
- Assist with administrative functions including: annual budget requests, tracking and managing budget allocations, project recommendations, bidding, and purchasing materials and services, revenue reporting, accounts payable functions, and weekly and monthly activity reports
- Work as a liaison between the site; outside stakeholders, volunteer groups, and much more
- Training, certification, and/or education in continuous process improvement programs such as Lean Six Sigma as well as completion of Missouri Way, Leadership Academy, and similar programs is preferred.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (relevant experience may substitute for the required education) Anthropology, Archaeology, Historic Preservation, History, Public History, Museum Studies, Park Management or closely related field.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience/Special Job Requirements
- Ability to operate a vehicle and maintain a valid vehicle operator’s license.
- Available to work nights, weekends, holidays, evenings, and split shifts.
- Available to participate in meetings, workshops, and seminars requiring overnight stays.
- Must be able to work in all weather extremes.
- Must be able to perform work that may be physically demanding.
- Must have basic knowledge of Missouri History.
