West Coast Paving, Inc. is currently seeking a qualified individual for the full time position of Heavy Equipment Mechanic. Candidate must have current CDL Driver’s License.

West Coast Paving, Inc. is based in Reno, Nevada, our primary focus is the Northern Nevada, Lake Tahoe and Truckee markets; we specialize in Public Works, Commercial and Private Construction projects in both the state of Nevada and California.

The Heavy Equipment Mechanic position is responsible for the maintenance and repair of all company vehicles and equipment. To include diagnosing, adjusting, repairing or overhauling mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. Equipment to include asphalt paving machines, excavators, graders, loaders, rollers, crew trucks and DOT vehicles.

The duties performed by the Heavy Equipment Mechanic will include diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment failures/issues and repairing and maintaining diesel and gasoline engines in light to heavy duty trucks and off-road equipment such as dump trucks, water trucks, bulldozers, backhoes, rollers and pavers as well as the maintaintenance, adjustment and and repair of components including ignition, fuel, electrical, hydraulic and steering systems, as well as chassis, frames and bodies.

Desired Qualifications:

The Heavy Equipment Mechanic would preferably have a minimum of 5+ years in this field and have a Class A or B Drivers License.

Pay and Benefits:
This is a full time position. An hourly wage, in market range, dependent upon experience, with benefits including Health/Dental/Vision, and 401K with 4% match upon eligibility.
