Cavicchio Greenhouses is a fourth-generation New England farm working more than 250 acres in Sudbury and growing facilities in Leominster and Lancaster. As a horticultural grower and landscape distributor, we cultivate and supply an extensive variety of annuals and perennials, nursery stock, stone, masonry and landscape materials. Primary Responsibility

As New England’s largest distributor and grower of annuals and perennials-operating twelve acres of state-of-the-art greenhouse space year round, we are looking for an experienced Section Grower to join our dynamic team. This role requires horticulture experience, pest and fertilizer knowledge and a passion for producing top-end product. The ideal candidate will be comfortable getting their hands dirty, care about the environment and possess a strong work ethic.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitor annual and perennial crops for proper watering, fertilizer and pests
• Nutrition Management working in collaboration with the Head Grower
• Apply chemicals, fertilizers and biologicals
• Evaluates data to identify crop challenges
• Manipulate greenhouse temperature, humidity to control crop growth

Skill and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in horticulture or equivalent experience
• Proven experience growing annuals/perennials in a commercial greenhouse
• Knowledge of greenhouse equipment and operations
• Hands-on experience with fertilizers
• Knowledge of biologics

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, pull/push up to 25lbs
• Ability to bend, stand and walk for the length of your shift
• Ability to work outside in all types of weather
• Ability to spray chemicals
