Graphic Designer Job at Anchor Sign
Anchor Sign is hiring a Graphic Designer/Project Designer for their Charleston, SC office. This candidate will be working with a team and clients for drawing and posting site-specific, sign packages as requested by the account manager, customer support, permitting or other staff members. They will be completing various task related to sign design/web design under the direction of their immediate supervisor. They must be able to successfully interact with contacts, and other employees over the phone as well as face to face.
This is an intermediate level position looking for someone with 1 year or more experience. This position will be working in our Charleston, SC office NOT A REMOTE POSITION.

Specific Requirements:
Including but not limited to:
- Drawing and posting site-specific, sign packages as requested by the Account Management, Customer Support, Permitting or other staff members.
- Scanning and manipulating photographs from a variety of multi-media applications.
- Completing various tasks related to sign design/web design
- Maintaining work product, area and equipment in a neat and orderly fashion.
- Completing tasks as directed by design schedules with minimal supervision.
- Assisting Team Leaders and/or Senior Graphic Designers with training of new Graphic Design employees.
- Performing any other tasks assigned by management.
Work Experience Requirements:
- Qualified applicants will have, at least, 1 to 2 years of previous graphic design, or other relevant work experience; and, at least, 6 months experience as a Graphic Designer at Anchor Sign.
- Should have, at least, 2 to 3 years prior experience working with computer-based design programs including, but not limited to: Corel Draw, Auto CAD, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop or other related programs.
- Should have knowledge of and experience with Macromedia Flash/Director or equivalent multi-media software.
- Should have knowledge of and experience with web development software—FrontPage, Dreamweaver, Go Live, etc.
- Must have the ability to multi-task – successfully handle multiple, detailed projects at the same time.
- Must possess well-developed organizational and time management skills.
- Must be computer literate in both PC operation and Microsoft software applications as needed.
- Must be a self-starter and able to keep motivated with minimal coaching.
- Must possess the ability to work both independently and in a group setting.
- Must possess well-developed communication skills: in the following formats: written, verbal and non-verbal.
- Must possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must possess highly-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
Educational Requirements:
- A college degree is preferred, (Minimum Associate’s degree or above), the equivalent work/life experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
- Must have a good command of the English language, in both written and verbal formats.
- Must have the ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence and memos.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $38,000.00 per year
