The Proposals Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing business proposals including governmental grants, RFPs and more. This role has a focus on excellent project management skills, proactive problem-solving, hold team members accountable and achieves results under tight timelines. The candidate will learn the business and be able to draft non-technical and technical content in response to Government requirements and manager all major proposal deliverables.

• 
  Owns the full lifecycle for federal and state proposal process from preparing bids, developing content, navigating RFP requirements, and stakeholder coordination

• Gathers proposal information by identifying sources of information

• Identifies and communicates risks associated with proposals

• Develops proposals by assembling information including project narrative, targets/outcomes/deliverables, implementation methods, timetable, and staffing

• Extensive knowledge of best practice proposal processes and tools

• Meets proposal deadlines by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, and approval

• Support the building of proposals through copywriting, asset development and ideation

• Coordinates requirements with contributors

• Tracks and reports on status on proposals

• Assisting in the development and refinement of templates and standardized processes to streamline proposal development.

• Reports on win/loss and provides recommendations for improvement

• Works with Government Affairs team on opportunities identified

• Writes, edits, formats, and proofreads proposals with speed and accuracy

• Supports project management needs for customer and strategic partners RFPs / RFIs

• Effectively communicate the brand throughout the proposal submissions

• Support business growth requests as assigned including presentations, reports, etc.

• Work collaborative with internal cross-functional teams and external agencies

• Responsible for quality control of materials reviewed and worked on

• All other duties as assigned

• 7-10 years of proposals/grant experience

• 3-5 years of technical writing experience

• Bachelor's degree or higher

• Passion for sustainability

• Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

• Candidate must be highly organized, flexible, and detailed-oriented.

• Experience in sustainability or batteries a plus
