Full Stack eCommerce Developer (PHP) Job at Cadence Labs
Job Overview
Cadence Labs is looking for a remote PHP developer to join our team! Only applicants located in Colorado, New York, Florida, Texas, Nevada, or California will be considered.
This position will primarily utilize the LEMP (Linux, NGINX, PHP, and MySQL) stack, and has a strong emphasis on backend development. Applicants should have experience with PHP and a strong understanding of object oriented programming concepts, and eCommerce fundamentals.
Cadence Labs provides website development services to a variety of clients, with an emphasis on eCommerce. Unlike other agencies, we only provide development and design (no marketing, seo, managed hosting, etc).
This position will primarily work on complex Adobe Commerce (Magento 2) websites. Tasks will include maintenance work in addition to feature development. The majority of work will be on websites with large customizations, unique business logic, and significant learning curves.
In addition to Magento 2, this role will also have the opportunity to work on custom applications utilizing the Laravel and Phalcon PHP frameworks (including custom apps for Shopify stores).
This role would be responsible for:
-Magento 2 development/customization.
--- Extending Magento and third-party extensions.
--- Theme customization.
--- Installing third-party extensions and creating custom extensions.
--- Upgrading projects to the latest version of Magento.
- Custom application development using the Laravel and Phalcon PHP frameworks.
- Application profiling and performance improvements.
- Server configuration & database design.
Required skills:
- Solid experience and understanding of object oriented programming.
- Experience with debugging tools such as Xdebug.
- Experience with JavaScript. Including jQuery and Knockout.
- Linux command line.
- Git: Creating/merging branches, resolving merge conflicts.
- Local environment setup using Docker, Warden, or native environment setup on Linux.
Bonus points:
- At least 2 years of experience with Magento 2.
- Previous Web Dev Agency Experience.
- Experience with Shopify development/customization.
--- Backend customizations implemented using the Laravel framework or similar.
--- Theme creation.
- Headless eCommerce development using the NextJS framework or similar.
- Experience with NextJS.
- Magento 2 or Laravel certification.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
