$2,000 Hiring Bonus for External Candidates

Innophos is seeking a mechanic for our nutrition plant in East Hanover, New Jersey. The individual filling this position is responsible for the correction and prevention of maintenance downtime on all production units and facility equipment. The individual will possess the skillset to inspect and repair mechanical and electrical equipment failures; and report all issues to the Maintenance Supervisor. Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for driving projects through completion and apply technical knowledge by making recommendations and improvements to current and future projects.

The wage for this position is between $20.53/hr and $25.09/hr and is based on qualifications, experience, and skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders and inspections to company standards. Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Performs preventive maintenance on equipment and facilities to ensure proper operation and increase service life
• Able to troubleshoot and identify root cause for mechanical and electrical breakdowns. Able to collaborate with other personnel to diagnose problems
• Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts
• Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery
• Installs and repairs basic electrical equipment (motors, drives) and electronic components (instrumentation, switches) of equipment as required
• Demonstrates management s commitment by providing support for all safety and environmental initiatives. Follows all environmental, health and safety protocols
• Ensures legal and regulatory compliance with respect of safety, Current Good Manufacturing Practice (CGMP) and quality systems
• Proactively attempts to prevent all accidents and eliminate all unsafe conditions

• Upon successful completion of a 90 day probationary period, you are eligible to receive a hiring bonus up to $2,000 (less taxes).

Required Education and Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Preferred areas of study: Training in maintenance mechanics, pipe fitting, hydraulics, and electrical power and controls. Certifications preferred
• NJ low pressure boiler license preferred. Person accepting this position will be expected to obtain license at the company s expense
• 0-2 years maintenance related experience in a manufacturing environment

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Possesses basic understanding of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
• Knowledge of production machinery repair and maintenance
• Ability to operate machine and power tools, forklift, and troubleshoot equipment issues
• Communication skills and ability to work with other team members

Environmental and/or Physical Requirements

• Frequent lifting, squatting, standing, bending, walking

Schedule

• Monday – Friday 3:30 pm – 11:30 pm (Eligible for $1.50/hr shift premium)
• Overtime required occasionally
