Job Purpose:

HME is seeking an individual to assist in the design and drafting aspects of commercial structural steel projects.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Produce shop drawings, assembly drawings, and erection drawings
• Prepare calculations based on project requirements
• Analyze, design, and select appropriate member connections for projects
• Submit requests for information (RFIs) to customers
• Provide final checks of drawings to ensure compliance with contract documents

Qualifications & Experience:

• Associate degree in drafting or similar education
• Experience with Auto/CAD and/or Tekla preferred
• Knowledge of miscellaneous metals
• Knowledge of current building codes and regulations
• Must be able to successfully complete all post-offer and pre-employment contingencies
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
