The dishwasher washes dishes in accordance with Outback’s procedures and instructions.

Essential Functions

Executes the Dishwasher position:

• Sets up dish machine and dish breakdown areas.
• Ensure cleanliness of dishwashing areas
• Stock the line with clean dishes throughout shift
• Uses proper amount of chemicals.
• Follows established standards to ensure items are properly cleaned and sanitized
• Checks out with a manager at the end of their shift.

Competencies

• Ability to communicate (verbally and in writing) in English.

Physical Demands

• Able to move quickly with urgency.
• Able to move items up to 35 lbs. for distance up to 25 feet.
• Able to remain standing and active for an 8 to 12-hour shift.
• Able to tolerate exposure to extreme temperatures (above 140 degrees / below 40 degrees).
• Able to hear, understand and respond to colleague’s requests in a loud environment.
• Able to tolerate exposure to and /or contact with seafood without an allergic reaction or sensitivity.
• Skill and coordination at using hands to perform kitchen duties.
• Able to wear vinyl or latex gloves.
• Able to tolerate exposure to chlorine sanitation solutions.

Required Education and Experience

High School diploma or GED.
