Director of Environmental Services –
Healthcare Cleaning at William Beaumont Army Medical Center
Fort Bliss in El Paso, TX

We are looking for a Director of Environmental Services to lead an EVS Team at William Beaumont Army Medical Center, Fort Bliss in El Paso, TX. The Director’s responsibilities include organizing employee shifts, training and motivating team members, checking areas to meet cleaning requirements in a hospital setting. To be successful in this role, you should have experience in a healthcare environment and team management abilities. Ultimately, you will help ensure our housekeeping operations run smoothly and that our client is satisfied.

Responsibilities

· Represent the company in performing all duties to ensure compliance with the provisions of the contract

· Oversee staff on a daily basis

· Oversee training program of cleaning and maintenance standards

· Conduct inspections of rooms and common areas, including stairways and lounge areas, for cleanliness

· Cooperate/Coordinate/Collaborate with the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) onsite.

· Schedule shifts and arrange for replacements in cases of absence

· Establish and educate staff on company and hospital policies

· Motivate team members and resolve any issues that occur on the job

· Respond to customer complaints and special requests

· Oversee inventory control which includes ordering cleaning supplies and tools.

· Oversee large cleaning projects as required

· Ensure compliance with safety and hospital policies in all areas

· Perform project administrative duties and submit paperwork required by the main office

Skills

• Work experience as a project manager or similar role
• Hands-on experience with cleaning and maintenance tasks for large organizations
• Ability to use industrial cleaning equipment and products
• Excellent organizational and team management skills
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications

Required

· _Certified/Registered Environmental Services Executive (CESE/RESE) or Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Professional

· Shall possess a minimum of two years of specific healthcare environmental cleaning experience (not general environmental cleaning) within the last five years in an MTF of comparable size and services as WBAMC or an equivalent civilian MTF

Note: This job is a civilian position and does not require military service (including commission and enlistment).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 per year
