Program: Residential Program

Schedule: All shifts available: 1st shift, 2nd shift & 3rd shift for Full-time and Part-time during the week and weekends. PRN shifts also available in Chester County, PA.

Alternate Schedules: Positions are also available throughout Delaware County, PA, and Bucks County, PA

Position Description: CADES is seeking enthusiastic individuals to work with medically fragile individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities in our residential facilities. DSPs provide necessary services to implement individual support plans and provide for the personal care needs of individuals. Ideal candidates will be compassionate and caring with a willingness to ensure the house is run like your home. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Responsibilities:

• Personal care needs: bathing, toileting, feeding tubes, colostomy, and catheter care
• Cleaning
• Supporting meal preparation by cooking and feeding
• Lifting and transferring
• Working with individuals in wheelchairs
• Properly uses and cares for all adaptive (feeding supplies, wheelchairs, walkers, etc) and medical equipment

• Assistance with activities of daily living (ADL), including bathing, personal care, lifting, and transferring
• Administering medication
• Complete documentation for individuals as per agency policy
• Community outings and doctor appointments
• Budgeting consumer and program funds
• Shopping for consumer and program needs
• Providing transportation using agency vehicles

Required Knowledge/Qualifications:·

• Valid Driver's License for the state of residence with a clean driving record and minimum three-year driving history
• Current PA State Police & FBI clearance for anyone living outside PA in the past two years
• High School diploma or GED
• Direct support experience preferred
• At least 21 years of age
• Basic computer skills
• Willingness to drive larger vehicles

Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Feeding clients
• Maintaining patient’s health equipment
• Responding to emergency situations
• Administering medication
• Transporting client to appointments
