Our Client is seeking motivated and reliable professionals to work as Direct Care Workers/Caregivers in group homes/residential setting in the Garland, Rowlett, and Plano areas.
CURRENT AVAILABLE HOURS
- 2nd and 3rd shifts and weekends
- 8 and 12 hour shifts available
- $15 per hour
SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
- Provides continuous on-going active treatment by supporting all areas of program training, operations, and the overall needs of the Individual in the Group Home.
- Provide transportation for individuals, via company vehicles and maintain status to legally operate company vehicles. (You MUST have a valid/current Texas Driver's License and current auto insurance enabling you to drive at all times.)
- Ensure the rights of the Individual, treating them with dignity and respect.
- Complete all documentation required for Individuals and Company operations
- Know and comply with all Client policies/guidelines per the policy and Employee Handbook/Guidebooks.
- To stay alert and awake while on duty, ensuring a safe and clean living environment at all times.
- Model and reinforce all needs of Individuals and Group Home operations by "leading by example".
- Attend all in-services/training as scheduled to meet the needs of the Group Home, Individual, and the Client.
- Communicate timely all individual, home and vehicle needs to the Group Home Manager.
- Assist/monitor all self-medication passes and performance of tasks delegated by the Nurse. Immediately notify the Nursing staff when an error is found or occurs.
- Encourage and support Individual to be active in community events, outings, and opportunities. Facilitate social interaction and socially valued behavior. Give Individuals a choice of their activities.
- Ensure menus and diets are followed.
CLIENT'S REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
- One year of experience in Direct Care experience preferred but willing to train
- Personal reliable transportation
- MUST have a valid Texas Driver's License and current auto insurance for eligible candidate
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum age of 18 years of age
- Ability to pass a required drug screen
- CPR certification- training available during client orientation
