Diesel Technician/Mechanic Position Job Description:

• Perform repairs and maintenance on, diesel and/or gasoline trucks including Tractors, STR Box Trucks, and other vehicles.
• Typical repairs include, but are not limited to, routine maintenance and repair of engines, chassis, driveline, body components, hydraulic systems, brake systems, electrical & AC systems, wheels, and tires.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Diesel Technician/Mechanic Position Primary Duties:

• Work order paperwork
• Preventative Maintenance
• Oil changes
• Air/hydraulic brakes
• Suspensions
• Transmissions
• Clutch replacements
• General Maintenance

Requirements Qualified Candidates For Diesel Technician/Mechanic Position Will Have The Following Education/Experience:

• Must have valid CDL or be CDL eligible
• Must have HS diploma, GED or Trade School and 2 yrs of related truck or heavy equipment maintenance; OR If do not have HS diploma or GED, need 3 years of related truck or heavy equipment experience
• Tools
• Must pass DOT drug test, Criminal BG, and DMV check
• Preferred
• Mechanics l or trade certificate
• Certificate in electronic diagnostics
• Any ASE certificates
• Brake & Annual Inspection certificate

Working Conditions:

Large organized shop, yard, vehicle environment, may require lifting of 20 to 50 lbs.
