Job Title/Type: Delivery Driver / Part Time or Full Time

Location: Sandhill Native Growers, Inc. Arcadia, FL

Summary: Sandhill Native Growers, Inc. is seeking a quality-oriented delivery driver to deliver plants and pickup material throughout the state of Florida. Most are same day deliveries, very rarely are they multi-day. Days when driving is not needed, applicant will be working at our 150 acre farm along side production and maintenance crews, mostly working on special projects that require an attention to detail. Seeking a dependable, punctual, and excellent communicator for this position. Our company is built on customer service and quality material and we must deliver each day. Responsibilities:

· Assist in the loading and unloading of plant orders in our fleet of trucks, box trucks, and trailers. Occasionally hauling large machinery (CDL Drivers Only).

· Communicating with clients on time frames, delivery details, etc.

· Arranging the schedule by maintaining maximum efficiency with the Nursery Manager and Assistant Nursery Manager.

· Communicating with the mechanic on staff to solve mechanical issues in a timely manner

· Bulk of deliveries happening between Tampa/Orlando/Naples based out of Arcadia

· Occasional deliveries in Jacksonville, Miami, and Tallahassee Area

Qualifications:

· Communication Level: Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required

· Certifications/Licenses Required: Must have a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record. CDL Not required but preferred.

· Proficient in email, phone etiquette, mapping, and problem solving

· Ability to pass regular drug screening

· Must be able to work outdoors in hot, wet, and humid conditions as well as inside an office setting. Individual can be exposed to the sun, wind, soil, rain, and various plant and animal life.
