Job Duties:
Duties for the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Understanding the flow of production related processes for our individual customers as well as the administrative flow of work related to FTZ, Non-Compliant, Transload, and Non-FTZ work.
- Understanding the relationship of the internal documents used for the operations (truck move sheet, container move sheet, WMS, billing spreadsheets). Understand what is their use, how they overlap, what impact the documents have on operations and billing.
- Daily WMS interaction related to building orders for customers, rating those orders to ensure proper billing, documenting necessary information within the system to ensure proper billing, emptying orders to insure drivers are paid accurately and closing orders with updated billing information for accurate billing of the customers.
- Daily updating of spreadsheets for tracking and billing purposes related to inbound receiving, outbound shipping and general processing of material.
- Regular updating of database(s) related to FTZ movements inbound and outbound. May include handling of paperwork to include signing and communicating with FTZ brokers of Customers and
Customs and Border Patrol.
- Collaborating with internal team members to ensure smooth operation of the facility.
- Communicating with customers verbally and in writing to collect information, answer inquiries, and address problems in a timely manner
- Maintaining organized physical and electronic records related to Production.
- Greeting and assisting visitors, overseeing truck driver sign in and directing to proper unload point, communicating with production team on floor as well as site manager regarding visitors/trucks arriving, production plans/changes, etc.
- Key member of the team at the site and may require some oversight of operations in a short-term capacity.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree in business, logistics, social science, or other related course of study preferred
- Administrative/office/clerical: 1 year (Required)
- WMS Systems Experience: 1 year (Required)
- Customer Relations/Service: 1 year (Strongly Preferred)
Other Requirements:
- Strong basic computer skills in Windows environment required
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making ability
- Very Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks by level of importance
- Proactive, customer-focused mindset
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively on tasks alone or as part of a team
- Ability to remain calm in situations where others are upset
- Strong attention to detail
- Requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 per hour
