Cook Job at The Bunker Bar & Grill
Bunker Bar & Grill is looking for a part-time cook! Our bar is in a great location for foot traffic and locals, and is active with regular parties and events. If you have any prior kitchen experience we would love to give you a place to call home! If you have little or no experience as a cook, we would love to welcome you into the bar/restaurant industry and give you the training you need to be the best!
You will be the only cook so will be responsible for quality control on all items entering and leaving the kitchen. You will have times where it is very busy and times that are relatively relaxed. We have great systems that make food prepping, stocking and ordering easy to ensure there's always materials for every dish.
What You'll Be Doing:
- - Setting up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
- - Preparing ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.)
- - Cooking food in a fryer and flat-top grill
- - Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served
- - Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
- - Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
- - Check quality of ingredients
- - Monitor stock and replace materials when running low
Cook Requirements:
- - Ability to keep up in a fast paced environment
- - Great communication skills
- - Self-starter who looks for ways to get ahead
- - Excellent Time-Management skills
