Our client is searching for a Controller to have hands-on oversight of all accounting functions to ensure compliance and to establish and maintain accounting principles, practices, and procedures. In this role you will lead and coordinate the preparation and delivery of reliable, consistent, accurate, and timely company financial reporting and forecasts, monthly closings and reconciliations, and budget information to internal and external stakeholders.
To be successful you must be an individual who self-starter with the ability to identify issues and resolve problems. You must be able to work "hands-on" and have the ability to multi-task while maintaining accuracy of work.
Other requirements include:
- 7 plus years accounting experience, preferably in real estate, construction, or manufacturing.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting required, CPA and/or relevant master's degree is a plus.
- Experience or knowledge of job cost accounting is a plus.
- Experience with accounting for subsidiary investment companies, preferred.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and able to effectively collaborate with team members across the organization and with outside stakeholders/investors.
