We are seeking a Construction Superintendent/Foreman to oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation of a variety of commercial projects throughout the Lansing, Jackson, Battle Creek and Kalamazoo areas.

You will work with project managers, client representatives, and subcontractors to ensure each project is built in accordance with design, budget, and schedule. This job is performed in our Lansing office as well as onsite for projects throughout mid-Michigan. Thoughtful leadership, clear communication, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask are crucial in this role. We are looking to grow our team to complete projects in the Lansing, Jackson, Battle Creek and Kalamazoo areas.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of construction projects from planning to implementation.
• Allocate resources for assigned projects.
• Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors.
• Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients.
• Negotiate with contractors to receive reasonable order costs.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to plans and specifications.
• Lead carpentry crews and perform physical labor on as-needed basis.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Previous experience in construction management or other related fields preferred.
• Familiarity with construction management software preferred.
• Strong leadership qualities.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Deadline- and detail-oriented.
• Carpentry knowledge.
