JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Madlyn L. Hanes Library at Penn State Harrisburg Library has Federal Work Study student staff positions in the Access Services Department for the fall 2022/spring 2023 semesters. Pay is $12.00 per hour. To be considered for this position, interested candidates must submit an online application and be eligible for a Federal Work-Study award. A cover letter listing days and times available to work must accompany completed online job application.
This position requires you to have received a Federal Work-Study award. If you have not received a work-study award, you will automatically be disqualified from the position. To verify if you have received a work-study award, please consult the Award Summary area in your LionPATH account .
Job Duties:
Shelving returned library materials.
Shifting books to make room on shelves.
Maintaining shelf order.
Lending, renewing, and processing returned library materials.
Requirements and qualifications:
Must be prompt, reliable, responsible, and dedicated to providing excellent customer service to library patrons.
Scheduled attendance is required.
Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies.
