Caregiver (Cypress, CA) Job at Right At Home
Right at Home, North West Orange County/ South East Los Angeles County is an in-home care agency we provide both experienced and loving caregivers to assist our elderly and disabled adults. We help our clients continue their independence and stay in their home.
Our office serves the following cities- Artesia, Buena Park, Cypress, Downey, Hawaiian Gardens, Lakewood, La Mirada, La Palma, Norwalk, Sante Fe Springs, Whittier, Pico Rivera, Long Beach, Seal Beach, Signal Hill, Anaheim and other surrounding cities.

Our office staff is currently built upon caregivers who have transitioned into office support roles. We are always looking for that compassionate, reliable and flexible caregiver who is seeking the next adventure in home care.
Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) - That can include bathing, oral care, toileting, hair care and assistance with dressing/undressing.
Provide medication reminders - Assist clients taking their medications as prescribed and monitor for any side effects. As well as assist in communicating the effectiveness to there care providers.
Light meal assistance and preparation - This can include helping with healthy meal planning, grocery shopping, and preparation of meals as well as provide clean up after meals.
Errands - This can include accompanying the client to medical appointments, post office, hair or nail salon, or to the local senior center to visit friends.
Companionship - Caregivers are welcomed and encouraged to engage in conversation, real aloud from a newspaper or book, assist with gardening, playing board games or cards, or enjoy a classic movie with the client.
Job Requirements
All Caregivers must:
- Basic physical abilities, such as bending, stooping, kneeling and reaching to assist the clients as needed.
- Ability to lift 35 pounds.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English. Fluent in other languages is a plus.
- Pass a drug test and Department of Justice background check.
- Have a recent TB test and/or Chest X-Ray.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
