We are seeking a CAD Technician to join our Pompano Beach, FL team! The CAD Technician will work with CAD systems creating, modifying and releasing drawings.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Ability to work closely with all departments/divisions within the company to ensure that drawings convey correct information.
• The ability to work from customer supplied architectural; and structural drawings, sketches or scanned images and specifications to create drawings in a timely manner.
• Ability to use company drawing standards as guidelines.
• Must be able to modify existing drawings to minimize the need to create new drawings.
• Must be able to self-check own work to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Able to work closely with engineers and other personnel to obtain information or ensure drawing clarity.
• Able to work with minimal supervision, be a self-starter and be detail oriented.
• Able to contribute in design reviews and improve job efficiencies.
• Ability and willingness to work overtime to accommodate the needs of the business.

TECHNICAL SKILLS/LICENSES REQUIRED:

• Degree from a recognized CAD training facility and 2 years experience, or 4 to 6 years experience in CAD systems.
• Must understand and be able to use design software such as Micros Station, MathCAD and Filemaker.
• Knowledge of computer software, especially Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of and ability to understand architectural and structural drawings.
• CAD system proficiency.
• Excellent knowledge of drafting standards.
• Attention to detail and the ability to be accurate and precise.
• Requirements to attend training courses and seminars as requested by the Company.
