Bookkeeper/Accountant Job at Skillman Management
Skillman Management is a growing holding company with multiple entities in need of an Accountant who desires growth within their career. In this newly created role, you will be reporting to the CFO while supporting the CEO.
Skillman Management has recently relocated operations to Wellington, Florida from Princeton, New Jersey. While we seek out a permanent office location, you will be starting remotely.

Responsibilities and Duties:
· Will be involved with multiple businesses, and responsible for overall accounting processes which include but are not limited to:
o Day-to-day activities such as accounts payable, invoicing/billing, payroll, general accounting, recording manual invoices and journal entries
o Review, analyze, and prepare monthly journal entries for miscellaneous accruals, prepaid expenses, payroll, other expenses, miscellaneous sales and other income.
o Preparing spreadsheets supporting balance sheet account reconciliations and month-end balances.
o Prepare monthly financial statements.
· Ability to wear multiple hats from accounting to administrative tasks.
· Protect financial integrity of the business by following and enforcing internal controls, policies and procedures.
· Maintaining a high level of confidentiality. You understand that financial information which may include business acquisitions must be handled with the upmost confidentiality, integrity, and respect.
· Spearhead special projects as directed by the CFO and CEO.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field or Associates Degree with equivalent years of experience
· Strong Excel experience
· QuickBooks or other accounting software experience
· Ability to grasp new technology quickly
Preferred Qualifications:
· Payroll experience
· 401(k) and benefits basic knowledge
· Previous holding company exposure a plus, but not required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,405.00 - $65,165.00 per year
