Who we are looking for:

Atkore, a recent recipient of a Great Place to Work© certification, is currently searching for a Bender Helper (2nd shift, 03:00 p.m. to 11:30 P.M.) to be based out of Pueblo, CO. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, this person will be responsible for quality and accurate production of fiberglass conduit in various diameters.

What you’ll do:

• Ensure all supplies are gathered for the duration of the shift
• Prepare pipe for the bending process, including cutting and sanding
• Assist in placing the pipe in bender apparatus and operating the machine within the specifications
• Assist in red striping, cutting or swedging as directed.
• Assist with Quality Control duties.
• Prepare finished goods for inventory or shipment
• Assist lifting when product weight exceeds 50 pounds
• Work in a safe manner, following all safety rules
• Keep work area clean, swept, uncluttered, and free of hazards
• Maintain open communication with co-workers and supervisor to ensure efficient and continual operation

What you’ll bring:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• One year of previous manufacturing experience is preferred
• Math skills involving radius, inner/outer diameters, and length using various measuring devices
• Ability to operate power tools and equipment
• Ability to lift 50 pounds without assistance
• Attention to detail, accuracy, time management and organization.
• Interpersonal skills, ability to communicate verbally and written
• Adaptable to changes in a fast-paced work environment, comfortable with multiple competing demands and able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events in a calm and logical manner.

Within 3 months, you’ll:

• Complete any required training
• Have developed relationships with key stakeholders for this role
• Be well-versed in the importance of your role to daily operations.
