Peterson Properties, Inc. is a family owned property management company seeking a professional Maintenance Technician. We are seeking an experienced customer service oriented professional with a practical mind and firm attention to detail.

The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines. The goal is to report to the Property Manager and perform the necessary tasks to maintain the buildings and common areas of the apartment community. Apartment Maintenance experience is required. Snow removal is required. Working the On-call rotation is required.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide maintenance including but not limited to: plumbing, electrical, carpentry, sheetrock/ painting, appliance repair, a/c-furnace repairs, snow removal, and other maintenance related tasks.
  • The ability to lift; walk up and down stairs, climb, crouch, stoop, bend, and twist.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs to equipment and performs scheduled maintenance repairs to equipment during machine service.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders required to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on tools, machines, and equipment.
  • Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
  • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing various duties.
  • Detect faulty operations and/or defective material and report those and any unusual situations as needed.

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • HVAC/EPA Certification is a plus
  • Able to lift 75+ pounds
  • Posses a valid Driver’s License
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to multi-task, and prioritize work.
  • A sense of urgency is a must!

  • Work an ”On Call” rotation - $$ BONUS PAY $$
  • Must pass mandatory pre-employment background and drug screening
  • High school diploma or equivalent; A certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant area is a plus. EPA universal certification preferred.

Must have own hand tools. Some after hour on-call duties will be required.
