Quality Inspectors perform and understand the day-to-day inspection, production, sorting and rework of our customer’s parts and/or products. To ensure adherence to the established specifications given by the customer. Performance of these tasks will be at the customer facility and when applicable mobilize to an OEM facility. Must have the ability to work with others. Quality Inspector is responsible for managing their own product quality in accordance to provided work instructions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Good vision (with corrective lenses is acceptable)
• Professional communication skills both verbal and written when dealing with clients.
• Bring to the attention of the Site manager, anything that is found during the inspection/production process that is out of the ordinary that may have adverse effects on client operations.
• Quality Inspectors are expected to work 8 - 10 hours on assigned shifts as needed.
• Work weekends as necessary to provide management coverage (PLI is a 24/7 manufacturing operation). Generally, has one PLI team lead assigned to each 8-hour working Site.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Report to work on time as required by the Quality Assurance Supervisor
• Reinforced toe footwear, safety glasses and yellow safety vest (where required).
• Receive product return requests and disposition of returned product and completion of all related documentation.
• Follow direction and procedures given by supervisor.
• Document all findings and times as directed.
• Participate in product quality planning and control process based on customer’s specifications and requirements.
• Follow company policies, procedures and guidelines including the company handbook.
• Offer plant/companywide continuous improvement suggestions.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
