We are looking for a dynamic, driven, and self-motivated Account Manager who can strategize within targeted industries to present and sell GTA’s solution services. The Account Manager must have proven sales skills, strategic thinking, and tactical execution in selling. The position requires acquiring and hunting prospects, addressing their business needs and digital service demands and developing solutions to increase company revenue which means we need someone who is a go-getter and takes initiative.

The Account Manager is responsible for acquisition and retention to achieve sales quota within the team environment. This position requires the ability to maximize time and resources to bring brand awareness and solution selling to the various industries in the business community. This position works closely with various departments of the organization therefore individual must have strong interpersonal relationship skills and must be able to meet deadlines and create strategies around Sales. Major duties include selling new accounts, upgrading/cross-selling existing accounts, renewing accounts, and providing superior customer service & support and also includes:

  • Develop and implement sales activities that are strategic to the growth of the assigned book of business in order to meet or exceed monthly sales goals and initiatives.
  • Develop high value consultancy approach to existing and prospective customers, proposing full range of GTA products and services and customizing digital transformation contracts pertinent to customer requirements and business needs.
  • Foster and build business relationships, monitor customer satisfaction and market trends to address new opportunities.
  • Influences customers decisions through strategic sales skills and product and industry knowledge.
  • Attain assigned sales commitment including protection of revenue base, generation of new revenues and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Develop strategies by analyzing the market, the competition, and the products to better understand the industry and achieve sales goals.
  • Proactively communicate on quarterly basis with existing customers to identify new sales opportunities, provide customer service, and ensure account renewals.
  • Search for and Respond to Request for Proposals (RFP), Request for Quotes, (RFQ) and Invitation for Bid (IFB) in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Stay ahead of market trends to timely address new opportunities, promote the development of existing and new solutions and create a sales plan to meet monthly quotas and conduct professional and informative sales presentations.
  • Complete administrative responsibilities on time that includes Sales requests, customer-related functions, and Sales Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool. Ensure accurate and complete information is captured in customer relationship management (CRM) system and clean data when appropriate.
  • Build and manage a strong and healthy sales pipeline to ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual goals are met.
  • Develop a comprehensive SOW for project management to fulfill installation and implementation.
  • Effectively communicates with service delivery team to seamlessly manage the onboarding and implementation of new customer contracts and deliverables.
  • Works collaboratively with other departments to deliver sales activities in response to internal/ external business issues that impact company revenue.
  • Effectively communicate with internal staff and external customers to resolve customer issues and minimize complaints.
  • Contribute actively to further development of sales practices and product knowledge. Develop a growth mindset and participate in coaching sessions to develop and articulate solutions intelligently and effectively to customers.
  • Gather competitive intelligence regarding pricing and other information.
  • Attend industry conferences to network and develop industry expertise.

  • Product/Service knowledge: Remains up to date on the latest services and products we provide and has a clear understanding of how each work. Working knowledge of telecom network offerings such as Ethernet, TDM, DSL and Wireless access providers also required.
  • Customer centric: Puts the customer first and creates a positive experience for the customer by building relationships and maximizing service/product offerings. Stays current with knowledge of products clients require and can foresee their future technology needs
  • Accountability: Punctual and dependable to meet the needs of our customers. Has the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize in a fast-paced changing environment.
  • Critical Thinking and Problem Solving: Has the ability to assess an issue, provide creative solutions, and analyze if the solution was viable.
  • Organizational support: Ability to follow company policies and procedures in accordance with contract/agreement(s) and Company Goals, completes administrative tasks thoroughly, accurately, promptly, and efficiently as possible with respect to human resources, financial management and profitability.
  • Technical skills: Constantly strives to increase technical knowledge to improve training tools through latest product knowledge, industry knowledge, and research.
  • Growth and Learning: Is curious and understands that learning is a lifelong endeavor. You own your learning and development, and you are committed to evolving.

This is what you need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or five (5) or more years of relevant work experience in business-to-business or outside sales experience.
  • Proven experience with contract negotiations, negotiation of deals and working with Finance for contracts.
  • Willingness to travel within your assigned geographic area and abroad for conferences or training.
  • Successful completion of motor vehicle report check.
  • Business acquisition experience, including prospecting/cold calling.
  • Technology sales and educational experience.
  • Experience with CRM, sales force or a client management tool.
  • Leadership skills and the ability to drive sales teams.
  • Strong face to face presentation skills.
  • Aptitude for acquiring sales skills and product knowledge.
  • Ability to create and maintain strong business relationships with all levels of client organizations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, self-directed entrepreneurial environment.
  • Willingness to evaluate current strategies and quickly transform when necessary.
  • Highly proficient in spreadsheet (Excel), word processing (Word), presentations (PowerPoint) and other software applications.
  • Must be able to work weekdays and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary to meet the needs and goals of the business to include attendance of networking functions.
  • Must have and maintain a current valid Guam driver’s license.
