We are currently seeking an Interior Designer to join our Dallas team full-time. The successful candidate will be working with a team of architects on a variety of exciting high-profile public projects throughout the greater Dallas/Fort Worth area and possibly the Greater Chicago area. These rewarding projects require someone who is comfortable working under tight production schedules and who has a high level of attention to quality, and design sensitivity. We are seeking an experienced interior designer with strong proficiency in conceptual design, space planning, design development, material selection, and construction documentation.
We believe in a culture of empowerment, which requires that the ideal candidate be highly motivated, able to work independently on smaller-scale projects, and conversely with large teams on larger-scale projects. The position may require working on multiple projects with overlapping deadlines. We offer a flexible working environment with remote working opportunities.
Typical duties and responsibilities may include, but not limited to, the following:
- Collaborate with architects/architectural designers and planners on programming and space planning
- Conduct site surveys, feasibility studies, concept design schematics and material/furniture systems research to ensure a satisfactory solution is delivered that meets quality parameters, project timelines and budgetary requirements
- Collaborate with the team on programming and space planning
- Prepare drawings, models and renderings, following office standards
- Attend meetings to coordinate drawings and resources, determine project criteria and provide information
- Prepare furniture procurement documents and manage the process of delivery of furniture, fixtures and equipment
Requirements:
- Minimum one-year experience required, two to three years preferred
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, or Interior Design
- Demonstrate an ability to coordinate with other team members and to collaborate with other professional disciplines
- Proficient in Interior Design software skills (i.e. AutoCAD, Revit, Enscape, Photoshop, InDesign Microsoft programs)
- Familiarity with Mechanical, Electrical, and Structural permits and building codes
- Ability to pull together comprehensive budgets and specifications as well as manage throughout the course of the project
- Strong presentation, articulate communication and problem-solving skills
- Strong sense of personal design and ability to adapt to client design needs and vision
